Mould (or mold in the US spelling) is at home in moist or damp environments, which means that is is at home on the west coast. 

Anywhere with a moisture source can host mould, and that can become a problem in your home or workspace - causing anything from structural and building envelope issues to allergic reactions to more serious health problems from Stachybotrys Chartarum or toxic black mould.    

Mould can be classified as Toxigenic, Pathogenic, or Allergenic. Some require fast action to limit exposure to places where people are, while others are more of a nuisance.
